The Top 6 Things People Forget to Pack for an All-Inclusive Resort Vacation

All-inclusive resorts are wonderful destinations for carefree vacations but there are still items that you will want to take with you to make your stay even more enjoyable. If you’ve never been to an all-inclusive resort, you may not know what all you need. Below are six items that are often forgotten when packing for an all-inclusive resort vacation.

Evening Wear

One of the most forgotten items on a packing list for an all-inclusive resort is evening wear. Many resorts boast high-end restaurants that have dress codes. If you plan to indulge in one of these restaurants, ladies will need nice evening wear such as a dress or elegant pant suit. Many of these restaurants require men to wear a collared shirt and close-toed shoes. You don’t want to miss an opportunity to try world class cuisine so make sure to pack appropriate dinner clothes if your resort has a high end restaurant on site.

A Wet Bag

Most people plan to lay their swimsuits over the tub or balcony to dry. This works great through most of the trip but there is nothing worse than having to pack a wet swimsuit in your suitcase when it is time to come home. A wet bag is essential so that you can enjoy your last day at your resort to the fullest without having to worry about your swimsuit drying in time to pack your bags before departure. Protect your swimsuit and other clothing on the trip home by utilizing a wet bag.

Reef Safe Sunscreen

Most all-inclusive resorts are located along beaches which offer you a chance to escape to a tropical paradise. Oceans are home to some of the most precious marine life and it is important that we do our best to avoid harming marine life when we are vacationing. Reef safe sunscreen is a must to protect delicate coral reef and marine life. Traditional sunscreens contain chemicals that can kill or harm already endangered coral reefs. Many countries and beaches require reef safe sunscreen so it really is the most practical and considerate use of sunscreen when visiting any area near the ocean. Make sure that you pack reef safe sunscreen so that you don’t need to purchase it at the resort.

Cash for Tipping at the Restaurants

While most food and activities are included in your vacation package, it is a good idea to pack some cash so that you can tip your waiters at the restaurants. You may also want to tip activity instructors or spa employees.

Waterproof Phone Case

Since so many all-inclusive resorts are located at beaches, it is wise to bring a waterproof phone case so that you can keep your phone with you to capture all the memories being made without destroying your phone. Phones offer us the chance to stay connected and capture precious photographs and videos so we all want to keep them with us even when out on the water. A waterproof phone case can save many a lot of heartache and the large expense of replacing a cell phone.

A Beach Bag

A beach bag is a great item to have to carry your belongings to and from the pool or beach. Use it to store your cell phone or your reef safe sunscreen. Since you are at the resort the whole time, many people don’t consider a beach bag but it is a great convenience to have throughout your vacation.
